Floating/Water PV & BESS System
Water-based photovoltaic systems include two main forms: floating PV and pile-fixed water-mounted PV, mainly built on reservoirs, lakes, fish ponds, and coal mining subsidence areas. Floating PV uses floating bodies to support PV modules, while pile-fixed PV installs panels above water through piling structures. Both types do not occupy land resources.
The system benefits from the cooling effect of water to improve power generation efficiency, reduce water evaporation, and protect water quality. Combined with aquaculture, it forms a fishery-solar complementary model, enabling power generation on water and breeding underwater, greatly improving the utilization efficiency of water areas.
With environmental protection, high efficiency and diversified economic returns, it is an important solution to expand PV application scenarios and promote the coordinated development of new energy and the fishery industry.
